Happy New Year! Please find an article about Shelley Territ, a long-time member of the GPRRC and an excellent runner, HERE
December 10, 2020
Greetings to all our members and Families! I hope you have avoided the coronavirus and spent some valuable time with family members
This has been a very tough year for all of us, especially the running and racing schedule. All of our races have been down for number of participants. But thanks to our race directors who have given of their time to put on quality races. If anyone wants to be a race director, we have openings in September and November on our race schedule. We will help you! Please call me at 724-348-6012 or bmcglothlin46@gmail.com.
On a positive note, the vaccine is ready to be released. It may be late spring or early summer until we can be vaccinated. Our last race, The Deerslayer Trail Run, had 25 participants. This is an encouraging note for next year’s schedule.
Sadly, we lost Terry Carskadden, who passed away in late summer. She had been a GPRRC member for many years and had been our official photographer for GPRRC. Terry was very happy, educated, friendly and sensitive. She was always in a positive mood and made people laugh. Terry enjoyed racing with us and ran many of the Great Races in Pittsburgh. Our condolences to Art, her husband. We will miss Terry!
Let’s be kind, help others, read more books, do difficult puzzles, and above all, keep on running! We hope 2021 is a better year for all of us.
